Smiles Mobile Remittance announced and implemented the new loading fee structure on September 10, 2024. The recent fee adjustment might seem like an increase, but this is actually due to changes from our payment partner. 

Smiles has provided two loading options to fit your needs! Here’s a quick breakdown:

1. In-App eTransfer (faster but not cheaper)

For faster and more convenient, Smiles recommended the In-App eTransfer as it reflects quickly, making it perfect for when you need funds ASAP.

Cost: 1.75 CAD + (Amount x .35%) *max. capped at $5.25

2. Direct eTransfer (cheaper but with waiting time)

For a cheaper loading fee, Smiles recommends Direct eTransfer, as it only costs 1.75 CAD with any amount, but it takes a few hours as it goes through a review process.

Cost: 1.75 CAD (any amount)
Note: This is the only option available for Desjardins Bank users.
