Ontario, Canada – On December 11, 2022, Digital Wallet’s Smiles Mobile Remittance, a globally growing and number one money transfer service in Japan attended and supported the IFCNA Christmas Party. It was hosted by the Integrated Filipino Canadian Nurses Association (IFCNA), an organization from Scarborough Hospital made up of Filipino nurses, caregivers, PSWs, and Filipino students taking courses to be nurses in Canada.
The event was held at the St. Clement of Ohrid Hall with over 250 guests. Special guests included the Consul General of the Philippines to Toronto, Orontes Castro, Member of Parliament, Rechie Valdez, the first female Filipino Canadian to be elected as Member of Parliament, and Dra. Eileen de Villa, Medical Officer of Health for the City of Toronto.
Many Christmas activities were available for the guests to enjoy the holiday spirit and connect with those in the community. Smiles’ highlight at the IFCNA Christmas Party is the exciting raffle game, which allows the event attendees to win Smart TVs and Amazon gift cards.
Smiles Mobile Remittance is finding more ways to gain connections and support many communities in Canada as the service is growing to help more Filipino Canadians.
