FAQs

Senders of remittance transfers generally have the 30-Minute Cancellation right to cancel a transfer and receive a full refund.The request to cancel must be received by the remittance transfer provider no later than 30 minutes after the sender makes payment.

Cancellation that exceeds the 30-Minute time frame may be possible if the funds have not yet been disbursed or credited to the beneficiary. Please contact our Customer Service team immediately via in-app chat or secure email for assistance. Cancellation fees may apply.

To check the status of your remittance, please do the following:
1. Open the Smiles app
2. Tap on "History"
3. Select the transaction you want to view

Ready For Pick up: your beneficiary may proceed to claim it at pick up location.
Transmitted: that means your transaction has been forwarded to the receiving bank.
Delivered: your transaction is already credited in receiver's account.
Beneficiary received: your transaction has been claimed by the receiver.
On hold: your transaction is being checked by operation staff
Canceled: your transaction is canceled
Refunded: your fund is refunded

You are not able to delete any records of your remittances from your transaction history.

As a regulated money transfer service, Smiles is required to maintain a complete, permanent record of all transactions for compliance and audit purposes. This ensures security and adherence to regulatory standards.

To check your transaction details, please follow the instructions below:

1) Open the Smiles app
2) Tap on "History"
3) Select the transaction you want to view

You may also find the details on the official transaction receipt that has been sent to your inbox.
