2 ways to receive money
Cash is delivered to the beneficiary’s home. An official representative will bring the money to the registered address.

How to do cash pickup
Step 1
Receive notification
After you remit, you will be notified via the Smiles app when the money is ready to be picked up.
Step 2
Go to cash pickup location
Beneficiary needs:
- Reference number*
- Remit amount*
- Remitter’s name*
- Gov’t issued ID document
*Shared by the remitter
Step 3
Receive money
After your beneficiary receives the money, the status of the transaction on the app will be displayed as “Received”.
Bank transfer reminder
- Check if the beneficiary’s bank account information is correct before sending money through the Smiles app.
- Be sure to enter the correct bank account name when you are registering the beneficiary’s name.
- Please input the correct bank account number (not the card number).
- Depending on the destination country, it may take some time for the beneficiary’s bank to process the transaction.
- If you send money on a weekend or a local holiday, the remittance transaction may be processed on the next business day.
How to receive cash at home
Only available for remittances to Vietnam
Step 1
Recipient confirmation
Smiles will contact the beneficiary to confirm basic transaction details, address and preferred time for receiving the money.
Step 2
Receive money
The beneficiary must be present at the agreed location at the scheduled time and provide their national identity card or passport to receive the money.
Note: The transaction status will be updated at the end of the business day in Vietnam.
