Wetaskiwin, Alberta, June 14-15, 2024 – Smiles Mobile Remittance Canada attended the first-ever annual Multicultural United Heritage Festival, organized by the Wetaskiwin Filipino Community Foundation.

With Filipinos being the largest visible minority in Wetaskiwin, the Filipino community gathered to promote peace and unity through numerous stage performances, delicacies, and special crafts from different cultural groups within the community.
The Wetaskiwin Heritage Festival offered attendees a chance to experience various rides and shows highlighting Filipino celebrations such as the Sinulog Festival of Cebu and the Fan Dance of Mindanao. The festival’s major highlights were Filipino food and music, drawing crowds eager to partake in these cultural offerings.

Jubilee Park on Main Street served as a spacious venue, comfortably accommodating various vendors, food trucks, and 18 carnival rides enjoyed by both adults and children over the two-day event.
