The holiday season is a time of giving. Giving can be buying a gift for someone, doing a favor for your loved ones or donating your time or money to communities who are in need.
Smiles Mobile Remittance (Smiles) decided that 2021 is going to be another year of giving. From September 16 to December 25, Christmas Day, Smiles is running a One Million (100 x 100 x 100) Smiles Christmas Campaign. For 100 days, the campaign will choose Smiles representative donors from customers who made remittances to represent Smiles and all remitters to donate 100 Christmas food packages to 100 needy families in impoverished areas of the Philippines.
Customers will simply remit during the campaign period to participate. Every day, there will be a raffle drawing to choose the representative donors to be shown during the live streams on the Digital Wallet Philippines Facebook page hosted by the Philippine team.
Every day at 6:00 pm PST, a donor’s name will be announced to send them virtual appreciation. After the donor-of-the-day is chosen, the Philippine team will send the donated Christmas package to a recipient. The team will then take photos and record videos of the recipients and share them with the audience through the Facebook page, YouTube channel as well as the Smiles website (if permitted).
By the end of the holiday season, Smiles’ goal is to bring to 100 families Christmas cheers and spread smiles across the miles.
