30 Days of Ramadan Blessings with Smiles: Spreading Love and Joy

Ramadan is a month that brings blessings, not only for those who observe it but also a time for sharing and giving back to those who are in need. This year, Smiles Mobile Remittance Indonesia once again collaborated with BRI Bank to present the 30 Days of Ramadan Blessings 2025 campaign, inviting users to give back to those in need and spread happiness throughout March.

This program was not just a social initiative but a movement that strengthened humanitarian values. With the support of Smilers, Ramadan in 2025 became more meaningful, full of hope and impactful for those in need.

Smiles’ Mission: Sharing Smiles and Kindness

Smiles understands that Ramadan is not only about fasting but also about giving and caring for others. That’s why the Ramadan Blessings program was designed to help those in need and create an impact for the citizens. This movement aligned with the vision and mission of Smiles as a service that cares deeply for its users.

Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, Smiles Mobile Remittance deducted 10 Smiles Points (equivalent to 10 yen), usually earned from every transaction made by Smilers. This is then accumulated and allocated as donations for essential needs to people in need in Indonesia, such as food, funding, gifts and many more. With a spirit of giving, we have successfully delivered aid to those in need, while also spreading joy throughout the month. That’s why every transaction made by Smilers holds a deeper meaning and impact on the community.

Impact of Ramadan Blessings 2025

With the support of our “Smilers” and BRI Bank, listed below are some of the amazing results achieved during the Ramadan Blessings 2025 Program:

1. Donations for the underprivileged and orphans

Smiles supported a total of 656 orphans and more than 30 families across Lombok, Central Java and West Java. Ramadan is the best time to give to those who need support. Through the accumulated Smiles Points from every transaction during the month of Ramadan, Smiles distributed aid such as food, school supplies and basic necessities to 12 orphanages. Smilers helped bring joy and happiness to orphans, the underprivileged and low-income families who strive each day for a better life.

2. Breaking fast together with communities in Japan

To support those not only in Indonesia, but Indonesians who are living abroad in Japan far from their family, Smiles has introduced a new program called “Bukber (Breaking Fast) On The Go with Smiles and BRI”. This joint collaboration aims to support iftar events with various communities in Japan as a gesture of care for those fasting far from home.

This year, we visited four different prefectures—Hiroshima, Tottori, Fukuoka, and Tokyo—to share happiness and spread warmth during Ramadan. To support the Bukber On The Go program, one notable visit was the NU Fukuoka Community—a branch of the Nahdlatul Ulama Special Branch (PCINU) in Japan—located in Fukuoka, to strengthen Islamic brotherhood among the Indonesian Muslim community in Japan. The event was not just about enjoying delicious food, but also about fostering connections and sharing stories.

3. Smiles x Dompet Dhuafa: Charity and Zakat Fitrah Program

Smiles also partnered with Dompet Dhuafa(NPO) to facilitate Sedekah(Charity) and Zakat Fitrah program, making it easier for users to fulfill their religious obligations safely and quickly.

• Zakat Fitrah: Distributed to the rightful recipients, so all Muslims can celebrate Eid al-Fitr with joy.
• Ramadan Charity: Donations from Smiles users were used to help low-income families receive food, clothing and other basic needs.

Together with Dompet Dhuafa, this collaboration allowed thousands to experience happiness in the holy month. Smiles remains committed to supporting programs that create real-world impact.

4. Appreciation for loyal Smiles users

As a token of gratitude to our loyal users, Smiles presented Ramadan Blessing Hampers as a special gift to those who shared kindness and celebrated Ramadan far from home and family.

With the Blessing Hampers from Smiles, we aim to bring a sense of home through traditional Eid dishes, worship supplies, and new clothes, so the Indonesian community in Japan can still feel the warmth and joy of the holy month.
