Smiles joined 3rd Filipino Restaurant Month Canada

Canada – April 1, 2024 – Smiles Mobile Remittance Canada proudly took part in the 3rd Filipino Restaurant Month Canada, an exciting celebration of Filipino cuisine organized by the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary, Alberta, in partnership with the Philippine Department of Tourism – San Francisco.

This annual event honors Filipino food and supports Filipino restaurant owners across Canada. Smiles Mobile Remittance Canada joined Filipino Restaurant Month Canada, showing strong commitment to support Filipino entrepreneurs and promote Filipino cuisine.

Celebrating Filipino Culture and Culinary Excellence

This year’s festival was extra special, marking the 75th anniversary of Philippine-Canada diplomatic ties and Filipino Food Month. To celebrate, Smiles Mobile Remittance Canada gave 10 $100 gift certificates and exclusive Smiles merchandise to participants across Canada.

Nationwide Participation and Promotions

More than 41 restaurants from eight provinces and eighteen cities joined the celebration, offering authentic Filipino dishes that reminded Filipinos of home. To make the event even more engaging, Smiles Mobile Remittance Canada launched a digital campaign—participants who registered received free Smiles merchandise and promotional items.

Beyond the flavorful dishes, attendees appreciated the warm presence and support of Smiles Mobile Remittance Canada. The event became more than a food celebration—it was a heartfelt gathering that strengthened the Filipino community in Canada and deepened their connection to home.
