Smiles Mobile Remittance Launches 4th Annual “One Million Smiles” Program Globally, Inspiring the World to Share Smiles

Tokyo, Japan – Smiles Mobile Remittance, Japan’s leading mobile money transfer service, Good Design Award 2021 recipient and with the largest ATM network access in Japan, is proud to announce the return of its much-loved “One Million Smiles” program for the fourth consecutive year. This heartwarming initiative continues to support the Filipino community while building global connections among Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families.

Building on last year’s success, Smiles continues to include its customers from Japan, Singapore, and Canada. In a significant addition to this year’s program, 5 Smiles Points will be donated for every remittance sent, and Smiles will match each donation, doubling the impact of every transfer.

Key Highlights of the 2024 Program:

1. Support for 100 Families:

Smiles Mobile Remittance will once again partner with its generous customers to donate care packages to 100 impoverished families in the Philippines. The Local Government Officials of Bulacan will also support Smiles in distributing these care packages to families in need, making the initiative a true community effort.

2. Early Christmas Care Packages (Ayuda):

In the spirit of giving, Smiles Mobile Remittance Philippines and its dedicated community will distribute early Christmas food packages (Ayuda) to 100 families. These donations provide much-needed support to families from the poorest sectors of the Philippines.

3. Lucky Donor of the Day:

Starting on September 15, 2024, one “Lucky Donor of the Day” will be selected from those who sent remittances the previous day. The selected donor will represent Smiles and take part in delivering the care packages, with their contributions being highlighted on Smiles’ social media channels.

4. Doubling the Donation Impact:

With every remittance made from September 16 to December 25, 5 Smiles Points will be donated to the program, and Smiles will match these points, doubling the contribution to help families in need.

5. Global Community Engagement:

The program encourages customers across Smiles’ global business entities to participate, including in Japan, Singapore and Canada. By sharing these heartwarming moments through photos and videos, Smiles aims to unite its global community and spread joy.
