Smiles Mobile Remittance Philippines and Indonesia Teams in Aichi

Nagoya, Japan – On Apr. 29 and 30, 2023, both Smiles Mobile Remittance Philippines and Indonesia Teams joined together to spread more “smiles across the miles” near Nagoya, Japan. Smiles Indonesia attended and sponsored a large Indonesian community event in Aichi known as International Friendship Day. Around the same time, Smiles Philippines Team connected with more trainees to educate them on how to be financially smart and stable.

At the annual International Friendship Day Event, hundreds of people in the area showed up; many enjoyed a variety of entertaining booths that offered traditional Indonesian food such as baso, satay and nasi padang. 

Not only was Smiles Indonesia there, but the Smiles Philippines Team also stepped in to help bring more joy to the booth. This was also a great opportunity for both teams to connect with customers old and new.

There were also traditional Indonesian and Vietnamese dancers adding more life to the event.

Many attendees reconnected with our team members at the service’s booth and others sparked relationships with the Smiles Team.

At the trainee event, Smiles Philippines pepped up the group, gave them a warm welcome to Japan and shared tips on how to be smart with money especially when it comes to investing for the future and supporting their loved ones back in their home country. Smiles Indonesia joined in to add more excitement later on.
