Smiles Mobile Remittance Singapore Hosts Event at Fiesta Sa Bayan ni Juan 2024

Singapore, 8 July 2024 – On June 23, 2024, Smiles Mobile Remittance Singapore proudly participated in Fiesta Sa Bayan ni Juan 2024, the first event for the Philippine community in Singapore since the pandemic. Supported by the Philippine embassy in Singapore, this event marked a significant milestone in reconnecting the community.

As the platinum sponsor, Smiles Singapore made a significant financial investment to support the Filipino community. Together with officials from the Philippine embassy and community leaders in Singapore, Smiles Singapore celebrated the 126th Philippine Independence. 

To add more smiles to people’s faces, Smiles provided special merchandise for volunteers and distributed tote bags as goodie bags to the first 800 visitors.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the “Smiles Outstanding Overseas Filipinos in Singapore 2024” award. The award was presented by the Philippine ambassador to Singapore, Mr. Medardo G. Macaraig, to outstanding Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

The Smiles booth featured engaging games for existing customers, offering them a chance to win attractive prizes. This event allowed Smiles to reconnect with the Philippine community in Singapore, especially since going fully digital in November 2023. The support from Smiles volunteers and the lively participation of attendees made the event a great success.
