Take PCR test in 4 easy steps

Follow the four steps listed below to take a PCR test in Tokyo at your convenience.

Step 1: Register for the PCR test

Register for PCR testing at one of the above five locations in Tokyo. Before getting yourself tested, you need to register online here .

Testing at the aforementioned sites will normally only be used for the prevention of COVID-19. Therefore, in some cases, you will be rejected testing unless you have a strong fever or have had direct contact with a COVID-19 patient.

Step 2: Visit the PCR test location

Go to the PCR test location on the date and time you registered. You can pay the test fees by one of the following ways: credit card, electronic money, QR code or IC card.

Step 3: Take a sample of saliva

Follow the instructions for taking a sample of your saliva. This step will only take you 3 minutes. 

Step 4: Announcement of PCR test results

The day after the test date, the results will be sent to you via your registered email. If you suspect that you are infected, please consult with the healthcare facility you have entered on the statement.
